nuzul Qur'an
saje je nak share gambar2 ni. malam tu lepas dah selesai semua, kami sekumpulan kecil bakal2 doctor ni pun, pergi la melawat keluarga2 angkat. mana tau, sambil2 tu kami pun menyuruh mereka segera ke hospital because of the incidental findings that we saw while we were visiting.
malam tu selepas berapa lama, aku tengok bintang2 yang berkelipan. omg, i wish i could share that beautiful sight with someone....
kawan2 yang lain tanya, aku ni kenapa excited sangat tgk bintang, apa, aku tak pernah tengok bintang ke? bukan macam tu la. aku bukan hanya tgk bintang, aku tengok the constellations as well, which each tell a story. and of course aku melihat kebesaran Tuhan, dan aku bersyukur that aku masih dapat menikmatinya.
alhamdulillah....

masa mula2 sampai tu, cuma ada aku sama BBP je yang mewakili uni kami. yang lain tak nampak batang hidung, especially our doctors. tapi, orang2 kuat UiTM merbok semua dah datang isi tempat kosong. even dr. jamilah yang head the klinik kesihatan merbok pun spared her time to be there.
takde la besar2 sangat actually. but the main thing was the fruits. omg!! sangat banyak ok. berapa ramai yang datang tu, boleh tak habis tau buah2 yang drang hidang. durian tu, siap sorang boleh bawa balik sebiji lagi, kecuali aku la kan sebab aku mmg tak nak pun. tapi apa yang aku pelik tu, cara orang sini makan durian. sangat2 heavy ok. durian tu dimakan dengan pulut dan ditambah santan, gula. itu opsyen 1. opsyen 2 pulak, still the same, tapi gula tukar kepada ikan masin (dabel yu ti eff??). opsyen 3 pula, sama gak, ikan masin tukar kepada inti kueh koci. i was like "whoa!!", tak ke rasa sangat jelak makan macam tu punya heavy?
aku tgk semua bantai makan durian like there is no tomorrow. aku tgk pun aku takut. tak ke panas rasa badan derang? walaupun kemah tu open, bau durian tetap menusuk lubang hidung ku yang macam serombong kapal ni. orang yang tgk aku berdiri tercegat sambil amik video tu, semua tanya "dah makan?". "errr.... saya tak makan durian". tapi sebab aku bz masa tu, jadi aku terlepas la dari soalan yang sama yang datang dari orang yang berbeza.
ada juga cempedak, rambutan, manggis, dan yang paling rare, cucur durian. aku rasa la kan, kalau boleh buat cakotiaw masak durian pun, mesti derang buat. kopi campur durian ke, minyak wangi durian ke, apa2 je la. semua neh derang nak buat dari durian.
masa jalan2 kat area tu, aku tgk geng akua sibuk makan buah dari pokok. aku pun terjah la. sekali tengok derang dok bantai makan langsat. wahh!! aku pun join sekali la. iye la, tgk pokok pun tak berpagar, so, kami tak segan langsung untuk ambil kotak and start petik langsat sampai hampir penuh kotak tu la. iye la kan, nak bawa balik la. sekali tgk, pokok tu bertuan daa!!! adoiyayy... bukan salah kami ok. kami serious tak tahu. buat muka innocent bagai, pastu, pass... leh bawa balik langsat tu :P
nasib aku takde selera nak lunch. punya kenyang makan buah aja.
**bbbuuurrppppp
[sila jangan risau. takde bau durian ok]

ntah apa apa ntah.
gambar hiasan. Mama aku rock kan? (^_^)apa2 pun, aku tak buat mak aku macam tu ok. kalau aku balik rumah family pun, aku lebih suka kemas rumah tu. tapi aku punya personal space, aku suka biarkan dalam keadaan "as is". iye la, my mess is what keeps me sane heheheh... kalau kemas sangat, kang orang ingat aku ni skema ke apa. tu yang selalu menjadi kata2 hangat pada telinga aku ketika mak aku berkata: "alia, please clean your mess!!"
i love you ma.

slumdog thousandaire (the BOH's 80th anniversary carnival story)
malam sebelum telematch tu, aku dah anxious gila dah. aku tido pukul 2pagi sebab aku tengok cerita keluarga 69. kekekekke... lawak seyy. pukul 0530pagi aku dah bangun dah. aku bangun pack semua barang aku sebab aku risau la kan, takut tak sempat lepas telematch tu, aku kena rush amik bus untuk balik kedah lak.
siap2 pagi tu, kami bertolak awal la. sebab aku tak ingat jalan nak pergi ke zoo negara. so, i took a road that was mentioned to me. main redah jek. drive pun tahap kura2 kena parkinson punya speed la. tau2, tak sampai 40mins, kami dah sampai pun kat zoo negara. awal gila lak tu. aku ingat park kat luar la kan, senang sikit nak ciao nnt. nak elak crowd and also nak elak kena bayar parking. sekali dah dpat spot baekk punya, ada lak aney ni datang: "4 ringgit" kepala batas betul! park dah la sikit punya jauh, harga still the same macam parking kat dalam. sabar2.....
so, sampai awal, kami register kat first check point. dapat tikets and participant badges. since we had time in our hands, we meronda la dalam zoo tu. tengok the animals yang dah lama tak tengok we all. derang rindu tu. cuba korang tengok baby giraffe tu, siap tersipu2 malu lagi tgk kami datang melawat dia. boleh?
jalan punya jalan, finally jumpa la tapak carnival tu. takde apa lagi. derang masih tengah set up. we were the first to arrive. so, survey la benda apa kena buat. kami dah start strategizing, who will be playing in what game. then, when the carnival unofficially began, we were given a passbook upon 2nd registration. siap dapat tikar lagi untuk picnic kat situ. mmg fun la.
the official contest started with a set of 50 Qs to be answered. i was the first to grab the folder, maklum la, kiasu maa... we had 30mins to answer all the questions as correctly as we can. the answers were all over the carnival area. we had to ask, and even begged for the answers. aku tanya kieran, aku tanya hunny, aku tanya rachel, even hubby kepada cucu J.A Russell (founder of BOH) pun aku tanya. semata2 nak dapt jawapan. when the 30mins were up, it was time for picnic lunch. tu yang best tuh. dah la lapar gila. lauk yang derang serve lak mmg sedap. masa kami tgh lunch, derang periksa the answer sheets and kira markah. out of 80 teams, only 8 will be picked. so, while still waiting, aku sama yah gi main gasing, quilla and quida main guli. main congkak la, batu seremban la... semua yang ada... semua kami cuba.
after about 1 hour of waiting, it was time for the announcement. aku dah pesan dah sama the girls. aku cakap kalau tak dapat ni, takpe la. we head back. lagipun, aku nak kena balik kedah kan. and they all agreed. kieran was holding the paper with the 8 teams, and aku cuma mampu diri sana and tunggu. sekali tengok, the first team that was called were: "team ALIA ASHA'ARI"!!! . omg... masa tu... aku punya elated, mmg takleh nak bayang la. i was so so so so damn happy masa tu.
and oh yeah, remember masa aku masuk KCK dulu? my partner, Lut, he was there. he has his own team and who knew that we were to compete against each other. but there were such darlings that they were supporting us and we were also cheering for them. and as if the universe spoke, his team too made it to the final 8.
the games were very trivial la. tapi mmg require skills. especially yang bab kena tarik teh tu. that task was given to the Chef, Yah. aku rasa, kalau i was put to do that task, i don't think i could have done any better. but she tried her best, that i knew and i was happy because out of the 8 teams, only our team was supported by the FlyFm MyVi troopers gang. gila best la. they were cheering us on. and they were dead funny.
after all the games were done, and the scores tallied, we only managed to get the consolation prize. takpe la... janji we were the final 8. tu pun aku dah happy and the main thing is, we enjoyed ourselves to the max. tapi yang paling terkejut tu, the grand prize winner was a team that was an underdog. nak kata slumdog thousandaire... haaa... ni la dia. serious tak sangka that they won. i thot that Lut's team was going to win that i even congratulated him before they annouced the winner. after the announcement, even some of the officials there made that "WTF?" look. tapi nak buat macam mana, dah rezeki orang, kita tumpang lah gembira kan?
nevermind... there is always a next time. i know the law of attraction works. berbaloi juga aku balik KL just for this ;)

Klang Valley under siege
yes, today is the day that i became a volunteer for the C.O.M.P.L.E.T.E first wave of creating awareness amongst the people in malaysia, be them local or foreigners, about the current condition in the Gaza strip, and what we, as HUMAN, can help to stop the war against the innocent.
people from all walks of life, young, old, students, doctors, designers, politicians, Muslims, Christians, Buddhist, Atheist, Hindus, you name it. All of the different people were there. as our main objective is to fight for humanitarian rights, not fight in the name of religion. a reverend is one of the main people in COMPLETE, a taoist representative was one of our speakers today, all of them with one concern: humanitarianism.
we came in early today because we were volunteers. at first, there were not many people. we looked very amature with mainly teenagers and young adults filling the gaps in the hall. the banners and buntings were up for display and read. small booths were up, selling merchandises to support this coalition and also to collect monetary funds to be sent to help the innocent in Gaza.
but as the morning progressed, the crowd that started to flow in now consists of elder people, professionals, press people, and speakers that are very respected. our gathering was graced by the appearance and speeches from Prof Dr Chandra Muzaffar and Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad, which filled up the first half of the day.
"there is no greater injustice in this world today than the one that is happening in palestine" -PDCM
"you make them pay for their guilt forever" -PDCM
"they are still fighting for their own land no matter what" -TDM
"what we are seeing today is systematic bullying of the weak by the strong" -TDM
"boycott: we may think it is not effective, but it is morally right" -TDM
at the end of TDM's speech, there were a few performances. one of which was from the tree theater company. personally, i think those under aged kids should audition for AF. seriously, they are so much more talented, they can sing rather well, they write their own songs. it is like a little package full of surprises! as soon as the performances were over, the launching of "Klang Valley Under Siege" took place. this meant that we volunteers are to be dispersed throughout klang valley to distribute flyers on creating awareness and to answer FAQs about what is going on in Gaza.
thanks to the mugging up that i was doing by reading the buntings in the hall that morning, i was prepared to conquer the minds of the people out there and plant the seed of humanitarianism.
we chose to go to central market and petaling street area. the team that i was in was headed by Ashaari. there were 27 of us. as soon as we got the flyers, we start the "attack", left flank, right flank, front, back, and center. but of course, being the environmentalist that i am, i told them to recycle the papers that were not used. and to my surprise one of the guy said: "yeah, i know. we are environmental friendly too". hontonii sugoi!!
there were times that we were given the chance to talk to the crowd, and there were times that they chose not to be a part of the awareness. we can't force them. all we can do is try. at least at the back of my mind, i don't have the "what if"s. instead, i can sleep tonite, thinking: "i tried best i can". it is up to the crowd to open up their minds, i did my part already.
it was a long day. but i am not complaining. infact, i am happy. i am tired, no doubt. but my guilt has lessen. there are many things that i learn today. many walks i did today (burn calories, burn!!). many new and old people that i met today (amini and her fiance, tati (my uber hot cuz), filzah (my ex-roomie), kamariah, and many more to mention). many lives that i hope to change today. this is an experience that i shall treasure and i shall keep on pursuing until justice and truth prevails.
as of today, i am also a humanitarian.
when will you be one?

enough IS enough
that i delete even before i open it.
i have been getting IMs and SMSes about this
but i ignored it even before i read it.
i have been seeing this on TV
but i changed the channel even before i could realize it.
but ENOUGH is ENOUGH
i finally understood the severity of it
i finally know the story of it
i finally know how unhumane it is.

today, i went for the first time ever as a newbie to the C.O.M.P.L.E.T.E meeting. i didn't volunteer myself, but Rozel did for me. i thank her.
i thought this is just another thing for me to pass time. but not anymore. this is not just another thing, this is a cause for me. i will try to do anything in the name of humanity.

will you come? please do....
because i am also an environmentalist, i try to minimize the use of paper. so, please read this brochure below. spread the word. help them.

YOUTH 2009
i am supposed to be volunteering for the YOUTH 2009 gathering today. but i barely got enough sleep this morning. i slept off at 0430hours and found myself wide awake again at 0530hours. planning to go to PWTC at 0745hours. somehow, i slept off again at about 0630hours and i woke up at 0800hours!!! i was like 'eff!!'.
to go or not to go, that is the question.
i was dead lazy, plus sleepy and a little bit dizzy. but i was thinking to myself, i gave people my word, i shouldn't go against it. so, in ultra speed, i got ready, and off i went to PWTC. got there with tonnes of minutes to spare because i was supposed to be there at 0900hours. it was still calm, but people were surely starting to flood in.
the volunteers were briefed of what they were supposed to do. i wanted to be on the event site, so i did not take up the job of going on the KL HOP ON - HOP OFF bus. i didn't want to stand at the registration area, neither do i want to stand at the entrance. so being the smart alec that i am, i just followed Priya's PA. the events were starting to take place, and yet there was still nothing much to do. so, i told the PA that i wanted to take the job going around the event site, in case anyone needs a volunteer. besides, i can have a free looksee around the events and no one to stop me from doing so, eh?
there were many booths that were set up selling things, promoting things, explaining things. there were games, there were make-up booths, there were reptiles and bugs, the weird combination of elements at this gathering just amazes me. at least i got to satisfy my need of playing with a snake. the guy let me have it around my neck. the feeling that i had was indesribable. i really want a snake as my pet! way too cool and funky, don't you think?
there were alot of battles that were going on, such as, battle of the bands, one-on-one futsal, 3-on-3 basketball, foosball, games and all. there were also workshops that stressed on dancing, graffiti painting, photography, shuffling. throngs of people were starting to flood the area and i was surprised to see that this gathering received alot of positive responses from the crowd! kudos!!
tomorrow is the finale of the event. i am gonna be there again as a volunteer. if you guys are coming, lets meet up!

'Pabila ia terjadi
Tanpa amaran, tanpa dugaan
Pemergian itu satu penyiksaan
Sering hati ini berbisik tertanya
"Mengapa bukan diriku, mengapa dia?"
Pemergian itu satu penyiksaan
Betapa luruh air mata ini
Kehilangan yang dirasai tiada pengganti
Pergilah wahai insan
Aku hanya mampu mendoakan
Agar jasadmu diterima bumi, dan rohmu dicucuri Tuhan.

AL-Fatihah buat Arwah Uncle Ainol Hisham.
you are missed.

aimst unity run 2008
the turn out this year wasn't that much as compared to last year. many of the last year's runners didn't run with us. and as for the category that i was in, the distance was cut shorter (from 10km to 7km). many new faces were seen running in my category. but the season marathon runners were in the same category too as they were here last year as well. all in all, there were 18 people running in my category alone.
we went there at the designated time of 0630 hours. i didn't drink anything because i can't drink before i run, i'll just perform badly. i had some plain cornflakes as my energy source. runners and organizers were already at the assembly point eventhough the sun wasn't out yet. as compared to last year, we had a warming up session with puan saodah. i want to laugh, but i know people'll say that i am mean, but what the hell right?? hehehe i laughed. really, you shud see the warming up steps, siap ada lagu dangdut lagi!! and best of all, if you were to see puan saodah, you won't want to be taking her aerobic classes because she does not live up to the name (she is horizontally challenged).
the race started at 0736 hours for my category. it was better than last year as then, it started somewhere nearing 0900 hours!! i paced myself running unlike others who sped up as soon as they hear the gunshot (terkejut kott?). so, i ran and ran.... and guess who accompanied me? well, Xfresh.fm was my running companion all throughout except for the last leg of the run when my earphones kept on falling out and i couldn't be bothered no more. while i was running, my troubled knee started giving way, but i kept on. i shouldn't let something like that stop me eh?
till the finishing line i trotted while somewhere in the middle of the running way,i interacted with the COO and VC. they did warn me not to be faster than them. but i just couldn't help it. :D
i tot i was already very slow and maybe i'll be in the first 15 as i did last year when i got number 11....but that was not the case.....
...i got number 3, yes numero trez!! raz, dva, tri!!! in my category. how unexpected!!! i was like whoa!! you go girl. jo-ee got number 2 (last year number 8).
as usual, post run is the best time for me as i can finally have something to drink. none of those sugar laden isotonics for me.air kosong pon sodapp....! i had to change me tee cause it was already drenched in sweat. i sendiri also kenot tahan my smell ... yuck!! :P
prize giving ceremony: i was donning the BRONZE medal, was given a participation cert, a hand towel, and the blahdy aimst pen. that's all? haiyaa... i tot got cash prize (that was what jo-ee said) or hamper to say the least. but a girl could only dream eh?
no worries, at least we got to get into some kind of newspaper soon. we will definitely be on the www as the reporter had mentioned earlier. see, the lady in the middle? her name's stephanie. she was number 1 last year and she still maintain her place. imagine that, we could catch up with her. with more training and of course i have to shed those fats....i'll be joining her in a tie at the finishing line next year, perhaps?Monday, November 3, 2008
Terry Fox KL 2008
and there was also my partner in psychotic laughter and conjouring up evil plans, kak nur. it has been say..... about 8 blahdy years that i did not face this woman. God i missed her like mad! now that she is hitched, she kinda toned down her craziness, which left me saying: "hey, what happened to you?" but she's still totally cool seeing that they are so cute as a couple and he is taking over her part as being the funny one. God, i don't even know his name, but from now on, i am gonna call him "bouncer" (seriously, he does not suit that name actually....hehehe).
before the run (as we arrived totally very early that i had my morning jog to warm up for the run. hey, don't blame me, i am a VIRGO. that is just it you know, virgos are known to be pathologically anal about being ON TIME), we saw some ducks by the lake and i was like: "hey ma, how come you are here?" heheheh. nah, this is just a little thing in the family that she is known as 'ducklin'. i wanted to get a closer shot with the ducks but there was one goose there that gave me goosebumps as it was eyeing me like mad. i don't wanna be chased by a blahdy goose that early in the day!
so, here goes, meet the GENERAL (that is the name that i have given it), my newly bought (just the day before the run) running shoes. kinda comfy, so far so good. but this is not that other thing that is still supposed to make its debut in my blog, mind :)
the sea of people that was just starting to ebb into the assembly area. at that time, my girls has already arrived. we were nit picking on the sustainance that were sponsored by some companies. there was also a stall that was selling piping hot pancakes. gawsh!! it smell was just too tempting that i wanted to get some for myself. but before the run? no way!
post run: yah and i took the ADVANCED route (naturally, we had to challenge ourselves, eh?). yes, it was CHALLENGING as the first part of the advanced route was an inclination of about 75 degree (not that i actually measured it. but my guesstimation is usually spot on). i ran about a third way up the inclination but because i haven't been to the gym for slightly over a week, i can't take it. therefore, walking up was more of a choice. and then running till the end.
i was circling the petronas table like a hawk, snatching the mineral bottles everytime i finished one. really, i didn't drink before i ran because it'll just do me hell. so, rehydration was key to keep me on my 2 feet after the run. as much as i badly needed to drink, i drank like a beached whale in dire need of fluid.
and then there was the milo booth, which EVERYONE wanted to go to. seeing that the Q was almost as long as the advanced route (about 7km), i didn't wanna join the crowd. i mean, i don't drink milo from the booth anyways, it is just laden with too much sugar and cream. but my girls managed to get in the line and surprisingly, when i caught up with them, they were almost nearing the dispenser area. talk about fast service!
with the heat still generating from my active metabolic state and the sun scorching its way thru the grey clouds that morning, i put oil to flame and heat up the situation with a session of gossiping and chit chatting and eyeing (you know what i mean) with the girls. oh, and of course not to forget, camwhorrig. wanna see more pix? go to the link "FaceMe".
....our very own TARA participant, IDA NERINA. she is totally tight-lipped about who won. so, keep tuning to the progress of the race!!next year's run, i'll be designing the shirts since this year's shirt was such blah! come join!
still in Sarawak, when in KL
"yeah, what?"
"get ready, we are going to go see Anita Sarawak"
"huh? o ok...." what to wear la... haishh.... it is a BLACK TIE event. and then it all started, the choosing of dress, the make-up, the accessorizing.....finally, i wore ma's LBD and my dorothy (it's the name of this fantastic pair of RED heels that i own that everyone kept on asking where i got them from!! i'll feature her later), and the necklace that mama faridah made for me, and some minimal make up, and my hair was the rock funk style.BLACK TIE or not, i still maintain being me :)
my uber hot sister: nana. she was with her heels and kept on asking me: "macam mana kaklin boleh tahan pakai heels?!?!"the event was a charity event for the PERSATUAN ORANG2 CACAT ANGGOTA MALAYSIA (P.O.C.A.M). some event that sells tables ranging from rm10 000 (minimum) up to rm20 000 (if i am not mistaken). we were seated at the 10k table, very near the stage, woot! woot!
as we were the firsts to be there at our table, we took our seats strategically, makin sure that we face the stage and our field of vision covers the whole hall so that we can see and gosson people, like what they were wearing. hey, don't blame us, we are women... :P
would you believe if i said i had 5 of those tasty wholemeal dinner buns?!??! yeah, i am kidding. although, they are really tasty. anyway, the whole menu was funny as it was supposed to be western, but when it came, the cold plate was mexican, the soup was chinese, the main was western, and the dessert, was...... SUCK! (i didn't even want to have it naturally).
i was totally waiting for the performance to start. i thought that we would be entertain during our dinner. so, what to do, check my watch, FIX my watch actually. the screws have come loose. well, at least there was something for me to do to fill time.
tan sri s m salim was first to perform on stage. he is really getting old as his performance was not as energetic as the time when he sang with siti nur haliza. or was it because she wasn't there that he didn't perform?? hmmm.....
gordon ramsay would certainly cuss and behead the head chef of this kitchen. persentation of food was totally out and each plate had different amount of stuffs on it. the head chef totally needs a boot from hell's kitchen.
she saved the nite!! she totally did. she being, ANITA SARAWAK. every woman under 50 wonders where she gets all that energy from, every woman over 50 wants to be her. she's 55 by the way, but she does not pose as that age. she is beautiful, witty, and energetic. talking about forever green.
she came to our table and sang to uncle raman. he was like, so stoned. hehehhe. no expression at all.... bore... boreTuesday, October 28, 2008

27-10-95: she was born, my little sister amal ain asha'ari.27-10-08: my little sister has finally turned 13, but she is oftenly known as Nana.

Yours truly,
The Date Escalade Team

we are not trashy, we RECYCLE.
The 25th of September 2008 has marked a significant day that hopefully will change the mindsets and attitudes of the population, one student at a time, towards recycling. Day in and day out we see many resources being wasted without a second’s thought of how we can reuse it. For those who are in the know, recycling is something that must be started, sooner or later, which is better than never.
Therefore, the noble TzuChings from the AIMST Tzu Chi’s student chapter has decided to hold a recycling campaign. The aim of the campaign was to update students and members of faculty on the state of the current environment and also educate them about how to recycle the proper way i.e. what items are recyclable, what grade of plastics that are available, the different usages of aluminum cans etc.
The crowd that turned up was not as big as expected, a little less than 50 people were there. But the program continued on under the good support of Dr. Kay. No matter how small the crowd is, the show must go on, she says. But it was not a disappointment as our honorable VC, Prof. Geoffrey Smith, has spared some of his time to drop by to our humble campaign. Although he did not manage to join us for the whole session, yet, he is in full support of our campaign and he says that the university is also delighted to make this campaign as an ongoing program. That is something we treasured most, knowing that our effort has made a progress even in its early stages.
The program started off with an update of the state of the current environment, which was followed by games on recycling, and a question and answer session soon after that. It was great fun to see how the crowd enjoyed themselves and how they are amazed at the things that they did not know about recycling. Some of the seniors of the Tzu Chi Association were there too, to support the campaign.
Towards the end, there was a sharing session where the students, Tzu Chi members, and our advisor Dr. Kay sat down in groups to chat and get to know each other better apart from discussing their experiences on recycling. Everyone was happy when they left the room and we were glad that we could pass the message of the importance of recycling.
It is amazing on how little things like this could make a world of difference. Recycling is not something that we could choose whether to do it or not. It is our responsibility.

...and... birthday calls from FLY FM, JO-ee and RITCHIE (the talking stuffed dog that creeps me out T_T), and aunty bah.
thanks guys!!! you all made my day!
the day i turned 19 (again....)
the day started off (at about 0000hours) by getting SMSes from my friends. and then, my adrenaline was already in full throttle, i barely even sleep till sahur, during which nana wished me happy birthday. then, in the morn, i sent her to school cause mama and yah were still very sleepy. after that, i came back and continued my sleep. at around 0955hours, i was awaken by a fon call from......FLY FM!! they called me up for the SHOW STOPPER bit (which i did not request. but i did request for a wakeup call) and BEN and PHABES wished and sang the birthday song for me. to top that, they even gave a pressie which consists of a dining experience at the HALIA RESTAURANT, sime darby park!! super cool eh? http://mikeyip.com/2008/06/20/sime-darbys-halia/
then, more SMSes came in. i also got a wish from mama's friend aunty avalone. that was nice of her...
after picking nana up from school, we went to atria to hang out and shop (of course), while waiting for yah to finish her college. we were just killing time, browsing thru the place. nothing much but being an ardent shopper (myself and mama), we got some great finds. while we were at the bookstore, nana spotted some hula hoops. for the sake of fun, we had a go, and of course, i am so damn cacat as to how to hula. nana on the other hand is quite the expert!

in the evening, we went to NAGOMI shabu shabu/sushi bar for my birthday dinner and iftar. it was something new as i have never tried shabu shabu before. although, i can say that it is almost the same as having steamboat (more of this later). after iftar, i excused myself to the ladies as i was already very bloated with fluid (read: soup and coke lite). when i came back, the pressies were already waiting for me.....
terkejut tengok pressies atas meja.
as you all know, i had a wish list somewhere, somwtime ago posted in this blog, tapi ntah kemana dah menghilang. but thank God, my family had seen it before and i got some of the things that were on my list. but the epicenter of the items that i wanted was.....

a pair of MARY JANE CROCS!!! OMG!!! i was sooooooooo happy!! siap ada jibbitz lagi tu. and they are so cute. this was from SHADI. thanks man!!! this is the first item on my wish list and it was also the first pressie that i opened. so so so happy!
(peeps, gue udah dapat deh!! jadinya kamu bleh get other pressie for gue ya ;P )
this is a charm bracelet full of RED trinklets from narisha and pott. they also got me 3 super cute statement Ts that suit me oh-so-well because it is all about RECYCLING. mana la they found those Ts!!?!? love the Ts!!!
and pott also got me a U-mobile starter pack with rm10 topup (tak cukup tu....) and an entry http://aminashaari.com/2008/09/19/happy-birthday-marlyne/ for my birthday. TOUCHED!!
one of the other items on the list was books from MARIAN KEYES, which was given to me by yah. she said that she spent ALL her money to get me the book, therefore her card was just a piece of tearout paper stating exactly why she didn't get me a birthday card. takpe, it is the tot that counts can. and frankly, i don't want no cards man, the book is already making me happy like mad! hehe
nana got me some makeups from ELIANTO and a book for sisters from BLUEMOUNTAIN. that is very sweet of her but i haven't got any pictures here yet. nanti kakak lin upload k from bamin nyer sony alpha. she got the first birthday hug from me... ;)
mama got me this book, in which she wrote some notes for me. this book is all about her feelings towards me and how proud is she of me, her love for me, and obviously, how much i meant to her. i haven't read thru yet but i saw some quotes in it that were very touching. she also gave me a very heart warming card, a working blouse and pants, and of course the BIRTHDAY DINNER. thanks for everything ma... I LOVE YOU!
after dinner, i had LECKA LECKA ice cream (as that too was on my wish list). oissshhh..... that touched the button la! really, i was craving for it and finally, i got it. i was saving my calorie spare for that purpose only. heheheh
all in all, i had a GREAT birthday this year (honest!!). thanks all for the wishes and love!!
.....and..... for those yang terlambat tu.... tak la terlambat lagi kan. if you don't know what to get me, haaa.... get me some japanese stuffs so that i can decorate my japanese-themed home in SP!
hehehehehh
