just between YOU and I (not so, really)

i was shock to know more things about mr. pelik today. well, for your info, i did not snoop or sneak or kaypoh around to find these FACTS about him. but i was told by the higher authority, mr. kublai, that there were so many accounts of him being mentally retarded to the students and aimlessly abusive in his choice of words and conduct. these FACTS, i have heard before, mind you. but i did not quite believe them at first until today, that they were coming from mr. kublai. and i am extremely SURE that mr. kublai wouldn't fibb on this matter.

so here goes.... inside the TWISTED mind of mr. pelik (really, i am still wondering why the government is still keeping this kind of people. i guess before this no one actually stood up seriously against him. well, i just hope justice is served)....

  • in the earlier batch, there was a malay girl that was posted in the surgical ward, unfortunately, she was under his "care" too. she does not wear the head scarf. mr. pelik questioned her as to why she does not wear it and picked on her because of this.

  • he told one of the girls that was (according to him) wearing undecently, that if she was going to wear like this to hospital, she might as well be naked and walk around. the girl was wearing a below-the-knee hap-cut skirt that, to me and most of the others, is not revealing at all.

  • during a session in the scope room, he has rudely asked a student to move out of his way, when he could have said it nicely.

  • during scope, he is supposed to explain what was seen, but instead of letting the MOs and students to look at the screen, just to be spiteful, he turned the screen away from them.

  • yesterday, while i was clerking my patient, mr. pelik came in the bay to do his rounds. the first thing that he looked at was me. simply because he want to find my mistake and to pick on me. unfortunately for him, i was in "perfect" condition, which means i was "flawless".

.....and of course this other BIG SECRET that i think you and i already know by now.....

NUTS!

Professionalism redefined

today, i went to the hospital wearing this.....

and then, LITERALLY......

i got this kind of reactions from almost everyone (even the people that i don't even know but have frequently seen in the hospital as well as my campus).

in campus: "la...saya ingatkan orang lain tadi", the guard.

my group mates: "wahhh.... alia pakai baju kurung"
"what did mr. pelik said today?"
"eh, eh, awak mari sini. kenapa awak tinggi sangat ni? awak keluar dari ward
saya sekarang. heheheheh"
"if after this he wants to halau you, i really don't know what to say la"

myself: "oiiiissshhhh..... panasnya" *sweat sweat sweat*

mr. pelik was not in the ward today, he was in the operation theater. S/N batuapi however, was there. i was hoping that she did not see me as looked fairly busy with her work (but then again, her work is actually to taunt and pick on me kan?). we were attending the bedside discussion with colonel when i was told to get the case sheet from the nurses' station. at that exact moment, S/N batuapi was there, on the phone. i passed her and then i heard:

"dik, dik, dik"

*buat bo alia, just ignore. prolly she wasn't even talking to you*, said my heart.

i had to pass her again to go back to my patient. i heard it again:

"dik, dik. oooooo..... cik adik, meh sini kejap"

*shaites.... apa lagi kau nak?*, said my heart

"nama siapa?"

"alia"

"haaa....macam ni la baru cantik. baru la orang tua tu (mr.pelik) tak marah. kan ke cantik macam ni"

*hmmm....*

"nama siapa tadi?" <~clearly she has amnesia

"alia"

i walked away with this feeling.....

S.H.O.C.K.E.D! at 9.8 richter scale!

ok... so the day went rather well (too well actually) which made me a little uncomfy (not that i am asking for bad things to happen). i felt something really heavy in my heart. i knew something was coming, somehow. it was back to the campus when.....

April 6, 2008: At approximately 1400 hours, Mr. pooh, my group mate, has told me that Mr. pelik has passed a message to the students that attended the Operation Theatre session, to be told to me. The message was:

§ This is the last warning for me regarding my dressing
§ I must change my shoes. Get the black covered ones.
§ I must not wear jeans to the wards (the black pants).
§ I must wear formal clothes only.
§ That he knew I had met with the godfather, regarding the situation that Mr.pelik had had with me.
§ If I do not comply to his warning, he will write a letter to my dean, regarding my behaviour.
§ He will be asking the doctors that are in the ward that I am in to monitor my dressing and to report to him promptly if I do not dress according to his criteria.

see.... i fecking knew that something fishy was going on. haiisshhhh.... mr. pelik, mr. pelik. if you are really a professional person, or the least, an ADULT, call me la. talk to me personally. why you want to pass pass msg one? you think this is high skool isit? aiiyaaahhhh.... malu la lidat.

let there be DEFEAT

did you know that......

ANTAEUS
........is a Greek Mythology god that only looses when he is lifted off the ground? If he is pinned down by his opponent, he becomes stronger.
moral:
  • make defeat as strength
  • stay rooted to your believes because that is where your opponent will target first to bring you down
  • the higher you go, you are more vulnerable for defeat

the RECURRENCE rate is high (when i thought it was all over)

April 4, 2008: At 0830 hours, I entered ward K1 to start my on-call duty. At approximately 0915 hours, Mr. pelik came in, dressed in a bright orange t-shirt, a pair of brown slacks, and a pair of snickers, to attend the ward round session that was being held by the MOs and HOs. Since it is an off day, they were dressed casually. But the HOs were in their proper attire. I was dressed in the manner that a medical student should be wearing (or so i thought).

Mr. pelik looked at me when he arrived at the ward but did not say anything. I assume and hope that I am well dressed, up to his expectations, at least. My group mates and I joined the ward round session as we are eager to learn from the doctors. Everything went on well.

After the doctors left the first patient that they attended to, we went to the said patient and started talking to him about his condition. Mr. pelik and his team were attending to the other patients. At about 0940 hours, while we were still talking to the first patient, I heard Mr. pelik saying:

“eh, eh, panggil budak tu sini”

Naturally, I wanted to know who was he calling and so, I turned to look at the team (including Mr. pelik) that were standing around the bed opposite to my patient. He was addressing me to go to him. I went there and Mr. pelik said:

“awak pergi balik, tukar seluar awak, tukar kasut awak”

I did not want to face another session of him screaming at me. Reluctantly, I walked away from the bay and went out of the ward.

Due to my absence from the ward today, I have missed one very interesting case. This has made me lost the chance to learn from the patient.

I was wearing my lab coat (buttoned up), black pants, covered sand-coloured sandals.

The first day I saw Mr. pelik in the hospital, I was wearing the same pair of pants, and I have been wearing the same pair of shoes. He never commented anything on this particular pants and shoes. I have even met the godfather, and the Head of Department, Mr. GQ, with the same pair of shoes, and they did not make any comment about the shoes. So I assume that it was appropriate to wear them to the hospital.

According to my group mate, Mr. pelik even told one of the staff nurse that was on duty, to report to him immediately if I entered the ward again today. Therefore, I did not make any attempt to enter the ward again.

mr. pelik did not even comment on the pair of shoes that my friend was wearing, which to me, i thought was way to much for him to handle. so, which one of the above is more appropriate?
apa salah aku lagi kali ini?

35 letters!

did you know that.....

hippopotomonstrosesquipedaliophobia
.....is the fear of long words?
ponder: how will a person who has this, explain to others that he/she has it, but he/she can't pronounce it because of the fear he/she has of it being too long a word?
smart la who ever invented this blahdy word. (-_-")

the aftermath of hurricane C2R

although in reality, there is no such hurricane that hit this part of the planet, yet, this is how my apartment that is shared by 7 GIRLS (including me) look like. seriously, i AM the only one that cares about the cleanliness of this place. i don't mean to say this like as if i am boasting, but if you see how these other girls live, you can just go insane! everytime that seems possible for me to do a spot of tidying up, i will. no matter how tired or bz i am, i will try to clean up the place a little. i tell you, sometimes, i couldn't be bothered cause most of the time, i am not in, i am in school or hosp.

please laaa.... they don't feel ashamed is it? clean up after yourselves la. even i, who is always on the run to catch up with studies and posting, i still could find time to clean up abit.

haiisshhh.....dah berbuih dah mulut aku ni. dah rupa macam orang kena sawan pun ada. tgk arr.... kalau aku dah tak tahan nnt, aku buang je mana yang tak di claim.

they are so dirty that they can discard choc wrappers, leave their dirty dishes, anywhere and how long they wish.

gila pengotor. tak tau malu ke deyy?

i am sure EVERYONE can see the shoerack, right? to them, it is INVINSIBLE. they can't even pick up their shoes and it there nicely.

can't even arrange or keep their dried umbrellas. shoes are everywhere! ehh... this ain't no shoe shop la weii....

lookey here: one of the tin of biscuits is EMPTY. tu pun takleh nak buang. i just discovered this just now. so, i put it in the recycling corner. see the white matter in the container? that is somekind of facial wash that is used by one of the MEDICAL girls. if she use it, surely she'll make a mess by dirtying the counter top. she won't wipe it, i HAVE to! look at the books, this is a pantry area, what the hell are the books doing there?

see how many kettles? well, i don't really mind. if only they'd put them properly. this also they can't do, eh?

they love to study in the hall. they hate to tidy up after themselves. eraser dusts, used scrap paper, snack containers, all over the place. if you want to do like this, blahdy do it in your fecking room la. don't do it in the common area. bangang siot!

need i say nething? this is how they live. but the thing is, they have more time on their hands than me.

ok, i am no miss squeaky clean. this is how my bed looks like. even though i am always rushing, don't you agree with me that this look rather decent?
lemme out!!!!

from CHENNAI, with love

it has been almost 5 months since i last saw my complimentary base pair. we have so many times planned to see each other but it never worked out the way we planned as our bz schedules seem to always run perpendicular to each other, instead of parallel to each other.

finally, today we met.

like a pair of wings, we immediately got attached to each other.

i am so glad to see jo-ee (especially) and her parents waiting eagerly at the fly-infested cafeteria of our uni. i just finished hospital duty and was so happy to hear that i could spend the evening with them as i can't seem to tomorrow. the short moment that we had just now were mostly spent on catching up and down on each others lives.

we decided to do the catching up over lunch. we have no idea as to where to have our lunch. i was actually very very hungry already cause the last time i had a meal was at 0630hours. it was almost 1330 hours when we finally stopped at CHENNAI CURRY HOUSE.

i really [heart] the setting of this place. very sheek and classy, but yet very inviting and definitely not at all intimidating. we were greeted promptly (prolly cause they were not too many people) and were seated at an almost secluded area (actually, that was the only table that could accomodate 5 people). they had the counter similar to the other mamak outlets, but more classy. they also have this kitchen where you can see the chef (in proper chef attire and chef hat) behind a glass pane, preparing your order (whatever that is). the place is spotless and free of the flying devils (read: flies). one more thing that made me so impressed was the toilet. waaahhh!!! i tell you, so blahdy clean one. i got shocked. even the hospital toilet ain't that clean you know. i am dead serious!!

our waiter came and distributed the menu.

it was a simple A3-sized, front-and-back type of open menu. nothing fancy schmancy. the choices are not as abundant as other mamak outlet. it was concised and clear. i guess they believe in quality more than quantity. i was surprised to see the prices as they were rather affordable as compared to the set up that they have. i was expecting sky-high prices, but i guess assumption only makes an ASS out of U and ME huh? we placed our orders......wait....wait....wait... tak sampai 10mins, our orders started to come.

uncle had the banana leaf set (RM3.90). the rice that they put can be as much as you want but the price still remains the same.

came in with (ceyyy....sound so medical one???): vegies, acar, cili, papadom, gravy, tonnes of rice (you'd actually have to tell them to stop!).

since the banana leaf rice did not come with any meat, uncle ordered some sides to go with it. here is the chicken pepper, stir fry indian-style (RM4.00). this portion can be shared by 2 people, yet, they can't even finish it. i didn't try it. claimed to be delish! eaten by champagne and uncle.

he also ordered the fish curry as another side order (RM6.00). i believe the fish is tuna if not tenggiri (sorry, i really don't know what is the english equi for this one). looks rather healthy as it does not contain the artery-clogging, heart-stopping, creamy-yet-harmful coconut milk. shared by 2 peeps, uncle and champagne again.

jo-ee's (she is so HAWT now! but then, me no likeys so much that she like papan lapis yang menjadi dinding campus ni. hugging her felt so empty....:~( ) drink came last. but it was worth the wait. i like the presentation of it. very high-end look. she had the FRESH mango juice (RM3.00).

i ordered the plain naan (RM2.20). it was not as puffy as the ones that you get from the mamak outlets. but nevertheless, it wasn't laden with butter and was presented in a basket, fresh from behind-the-glass-pane kitchen. it was crispy but thin. really nice tho.....

jo-ee and aunty ordered garlic naan (RM2.50 each). they said that it was nice. the dip that came with the naans was really unique. they said that it is the spicy dhal. i've never tasted this variation of dhal but simply [heart] it. jo-ee also loved it. we also ordered tandoori chicken (RM6.50, which i believe is the standard price) that came still very juicy as compared to the ones that you get from other mamak outlets that are so damn dry that you could have mistaken it for tissue paper or worst, sand paper. the tandoori chicken from CHENNAI CURRY HOUSE was crispy outside, very tender inside. the smell of burnt spices that was the marinade for the tandoori chicken made another plus point to have this dish.

other things that we ordered were:
  • plain rice (good serving size) RM0.80
  • teh hALIA (as what champagne is calling me from now on....haiiisshhh) RM1.70
  • fresh lime juice (aunty had this) RM1.50
  • iced white coffee (looked really tempting) RM2.00
  • coke lite (who else right??? i am an addict. i am not ashamed to say this) RM1.80

for 5 peeps, the bill came up to RM38.40, without any GST or SERVICE CHARGE. how super uber cool is that. i would rate the service a 4.5 / 5. and yet, they don't charge us!

CHENNAI CURRY HOUSE

141 - 143, Jalan Legenda 5, Legenda Heights, 08000 SP.

would i come again? HELL, YEAH!

HALITOSIS

....medically, halitosis means bad breath or BAD MOUTH.

many people think that bad mouth occurs from bad oral hygiene. this is partly true. there are many causes of bad mouth actually. it could be due to some pathology in the nose, digestive tract, it can even indicate the presence of malignancy or some kind of pathology in the kidneys. these conditions are all medical.

however, there are non medical conditions that could cause someone to have BAD MOUTH. that is simply because that person is SELFISH.

this happened in the class. somehow in the 54-odd number of people in the batch, 3 of us has decided to become, how shall i put this, hmmm.....STUPID. they love to tell on people and they thought that their "innocence" are a blessing. well, lemme put this to your faces punks, you guys are more like a CURSE! all right, if you have a problem with anyone at all, go and face the person and talk it out. do not, i repeat DO NOT, go on and talk about it to the others. you are not finding a solution by doing this, infact, you are creating more PROBLEMS!!

so, this 3 idiots (oooohhh... i am being very mild here), has made the whole batch seems like a failure, after what they had told the registra. now, the faculty and most importantly the dean of school of medicine, who has helped our batch in so many ways, are looking down on us and do not want to participate in any way possible, if we are ever going to face any difficult undertakings in the future.

and the most retarded part is, this 3 "heroes" do not even want to 'fess up and explain as to why they had tell on the batch to the registra. weiiii..... come on la, if you are so blahdy tere to go and run like a spoiled child to tell on others, and because of your "heroic" (yet very DUMB) actions, the the school has a bad impression on the batch, the least you smarty pants could do is, EXPLAIN!

why you so skeeerrrrddd one?

this is no child's play la, come on. we are adults (well, you guys claimed to be. as for me, i am always 19), and definitely, we have responsibilities. if you think it was your responsibilty to bad mouth the batch and cause this mayhem, then i ASSUME it is also your responsibility to 'fess up and give an explaination.

don't be a chicken ass. it is so not helping.

we won't hate you, we will just DESPISE you.

makes me wonder why there are still this kind of people on planet earth....haiiiiyaaaa (-_-")

bolo punya olang. nang bu ti nang, kui bu ti kui!
